Heard this on the news today abd I had to see it for myself. Appears that people that are Obese and Morbidly Obeses are at severe risk with this stuff. They said that Obese patients are now considered to be in the high risk catagory and are eligble for the vaccine.

Here is the article from the LA Times

Hi Rick!

I had heard this today, too. Of course, they only did a blurb on it on the news. I will definatly check out the article that you mentioned. Thank you for posting this! Hope you have a great day.

Good Grief,  we are at risk for so many things, and now the flu.  I think I am going to hide out in my home with the air on and not go out till April!

Have a great fun day!

Ahh come on Diane....You are to fiesty for that pig flu. Besides, we would have to tent our houses and have all those air putifiers and stuff.

I am really skiddish this year about the flu.  Being an astmatic scares me about getting something so bad, but so far so good.  Just keep doing whatever little things we can do, other than wearing a mask outside.    SO I will tell it now, stay away little piggies!

Hey Diane,

Here is what the allergist told me about the flu and the flu shot for the piggy flu.  He feels they rushed it to market so quickly that the unknowns are huge.  He also feels that the better approach for us asthmatics is Tamflu.  I have my perscription filled and waiting just in case.  It is hard to come by, but my doc knew a pharmacy that had a supply and I was able to get it.

So I am not going to get the H1N1 vaccine and rely on the Tamaflu if I start to feel sick.

Love you,
Steph

Thank you Stephaine!  Much needed info for us with lung problems!  I appreciate it.  I had no intensions of getting the H1N1 shot, too many risks for that.  I am just fine without it all.

Love you back, Diane

Wow, that's scary! Lately I've become more skiddish about going near people are sick. I already have a few friends who have had swine flu.

Can I just complain about something?

Parents! If your kids are sick and have a hacking cough LEAVE THEM AT HOME. I don't want them near me when I stand in line at the ATM, the supermarket or anywhere!  I certainly don't want your little germ-infested offspring near me when I'm preparing my morning coffee.

Same goes for you grown-ups. If you're sick stay home! Don't come to work and infest everyone in the elevators and at work. Business will go on without you, please! .

Ick!
